US vs. STEAM CLEANING
Steam cleaning carpet can take 24 hours or longer to dry. This is because
steam cleaning relies on large amounts of water and chemicals to clean the carpet instead of brush agitation. When carpets are soaked with large amounts of water,
mildew can become a problem. Another problem customers experience when using steam cleaners is the fact that dirty oils in their carpet become dirty oily water. This dirty water then soaks to the bottom of the carpet pad. Eventually these dirty oils move back to the surface, causing stains to reappear. This process is called wick back.
Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning® uses the power of oxygen to clean rather than chemicals that leave behind a sticky residue. Another major difference is that Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning® has a one hour dry time. Our nearly dry carpet cleaning requires less water, ensuring a fast dry time and that the dirt and oils in your carpet are efficiently removed, preventing them from seeping down into your carpet pad. This results in a thorough carpet cleaning and stain removal every time.
US vs. SPIN BONNET CLEANING
Spin bonnet cleaning is a fancy way of saying floor buffer. Floor buffers are great for cleaning tile, however when it comes to carpet they are
not able to pull dirt and oily grime out of the carpet. Instead, the dirt and oily grime get pushed down deeper into the carpet pile. Although the top third of the carpet pile looks clean, the bottom portions remain untouched. When this cleaning method is complete, the technician must then rake the carpet. The rake is needed to pull the carpet pile back up after being pushed down by the floor buffer.
Rather than pushing dirt and oils deeper into your carpet, Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning® uses pile lifting technology to effectively remove the dirt and oils from the bottom of your carpet pile. This produces a true deep cleaning as opposed to just a top surface cleaning. In contrast to spin bonnet carpet cleaning, we pride ourselves on being healthy carpet cleaners.
